Before you buy DJ equipment package it is essential to make yourself aware that it includes all the essential parts. At the end of the day, it should make a DJ’s event successful.
If anyone wants to do mixing and scratching simultaneously, one can select packages with direct drive turntables. Some of the most popular of them being Stanton DJ Lab.2 or .3, Gemini Scratchmaster 5.0, American DJ Vinyl 101, Numark Battle Pak. A pro DJ equipment pack contains some cartridges. Typically two of them come under a same package. They can or need not necessarily be mounted. Some other packages come with mixers.
Some feel that the Battle Pak is a best choice. You will see on use that the turntables have more than enough power to get the hang of mixing and a little bit of scratching. The mixer is simple and easy to use and you have everything you need.
However if you only want to perform mixing of the songs, together, then you may feel yourself comfortable with a belt drive turntable packages like “Gemini Mixmaster 5.0”, “Stanton DJ Lab.1 (Contains a T.5 Belt drive turn tables)”, “Numark DJ in a Box”. When you become a little bit more confident and can start moving outdoors, you can always do an upgrade to a direct-drive with a more torque. Also the cartridges are made to handle more scratching. Till then a Battle pak can get you learn the basics for at least two and a half years or so.
Some more brands are that of Pioneer, Allen&Heath, M-audio, Technics, Vestax, and Numark. All these are equally good. If you maintain the equipment well, you can always go ahead for a resale at a pretty good cost provided you have all the papers with you. Also, if you know any local DJ, you can ask him for any equipment which he can sell it to you.
It is important to note that the price difference between a belt drive packages and direct drive are quite high so always make sure you have a long term goal in your mind while selecting. It is also known that China is a mass producer of all these equipments.
Different packages come at various prices. Depends primarily on which equipment types are included and the different mechanisms which it contains.
And the price ranges among different packages make the quality almost the same among different brands. It is however very important that you know what you are exactly looking for, what looks cool on you and where our interest lies. There have been several instances where many users complain about the problems as soon as they purchase any new equipment. For example, a most ever frequent complaint which many users have is that the mixer fader bleeds. That means that the audio sweeps out of both the channels approximately the exact instance even when one has set a specific channel for it. So make sure you keep the receipt safely after your purchase.

Can’t find skin?
Download it here and put it in your VirtualDJ skins folder located in My Documents. Do not unzip it, just leave the zip file in the Skins folder.

The reason for this is that your screen resolution is too small. It requires a minimum of 1280 x 800 resolution which is native widescreen for many 14″, 15″ laptops. Any 4:3 aspect LCD or CRT should also support this but you need to set resolution at the minimum to 1280 x 1024 which can be done by right clicking at the desktop, going to properties and then Display and changing the slider there.
If your monitor doesn’t go any higher and it still doesn’t show the whole picture, then either A – Get a new monitor that does, or you can click the Maximize button next to the X button on the very top right to stretch it to fit your screen but it’ll be in a wonky looking aspect ratio.
